Eradicate Prejudice from our World

Dear friends,

Today’s tragic shooting in Pittsburgh brings shock and sadness to us all. That someone would enter a synagogue for the purpose of the mass murder of Jews during worship is an abomination to all people of conscience. It brings to the fore the reality that anti-semitism is alive and well in our country and in our world. We must work with ever more force to combat this evil in our midst.
We stand in solidarity with Tree of Life synagogue in Pittsburgh and wish them strength and loving community as they cope with the horrors they have experienced today.
May the Holy One of Blessing grant comfort to all who have been affected by this tragedy. May they feel our solidarity with them as part of our united Jewish family. And may the evil of anti-semitism and all forms of prejudice be eradicated from the world soon, in our day.
